More photos than writing as not many will read these nowadays as I have jacked the cess pit that is Twitter. To be honest theres not much to say anyway. Not plan A for the night which was Whitehill Welfare v Dunbar United for book three purposes. A match which was reversed a few days ago. So fitba on the doorstep it was to be.
The Dons were the better team technically speaking and played some very good stuff on the eye at break neck speed at times. However, at the same time created very little. They hit the bar in the first half through Zak To and scored late on in the second. Lee Herbert was never truly tested in the Turra goal. On the number 10 To, what a fine player he looks. Gets better every time we see him. Composed and seems to always be looking for the next step before he has even received the ball. I am definitely a fan and hope he goes far. Turriff on the other hand took the lead through Aiden Sopel, the somewhat forgotten man of last season, this when he ran through onto a defence splitting pass sending a low effort across Vitols. The slick football of Aberdeen wasnt there but playing good fitba is not everything as this match showed . The biggest chances of the game fell to the hosts too with a memorable quick fire double save from Dons keeper Vitols allowing his team to stay in it which they did and were rewarded with a late Joseph Teasdale goal or so it was claimed over the tannoy. Aberdeen officially have said it was an OG. As for the midges. Good grief they were out en masse tonight. Little bastards.
